Genesis Tournament & Guilds Matchup: What You Need to Know

The first ranked competition in the soccer metaverse starts on the 23rd of August, and we’re sure you are all preparing your best teams to enter the pitch.

Until then, it’s time to learn a bit more about the Genesis Tournament and the incentives we prepared to spice up the competition.

Genesis Tournament Special Prizes

To celebrate the launch of our genesis tournament in MetaSoccer, we added $2,000 in USDT on top of the regular rewards — you can check it out here.

These extra prizes will be divided per division after we have the total number of users in each tier. The champion of each group will receive a good prize.

Guilds Matchup

Guilds play a special role in MetaSoccer — they help us promote the game and open the doors of crypto gaming to a lot of new users.

Because of their prominent presence in the soccer metaverse, we’d like to reward guilds as well for their engagement.

The Guilds Matchup is a competition between all guilds that have partnered with us, and that will be divided into two steps:

1. Participation Prize

We want our guilds and respective scholars to fully enjoy the wonders of MetaSoccer. We will compensate those guilds who onboard more teams to our first edition, Genesis Tournament.

The prizes are the following:

• 1st place: $15 USDT x number of registered teams
• 2nd place: $10 USDT x number of registered teams
• 3rd place: $5 USDT x number of registered teams

To be eligible, all teams (min of 11 players) must be delegated from the same wallet (guild wallet), with a maximum of 3 teams per scholar, and each team must play at least 25 matches during the tournament.

The scholar can have teams from different guilds, they will count up to 3 teams per guild. If a guild delegate 4 teams, we will only count 3 for the participation prize.

As we always like to say, together we are stronger, so gather around and win more!

To avoid exploit we will add a cap of 300 teams for each position. If we have a tie in the participation prize, we will use the ranking results to break the tie.

Also, the scholars need to play the game using our official website. If they use some API it will not be possible for us to verify the games and results.

2. Competition Prize

What matters most is to participate and have fun, but those who make that extra effort and come out as winners deserve even bigger rewards.

Each team owned by a guild that wins in a tier group will earn an extra prize:

• Amateur — $5
• Beginner — $10
• Semi-Pro — $15
• Pro — $20
• Legend — $30

Bear in mind that there may be several groups per division, so these compensations refer to winners in each group within a certain division.

We will add a limit of 1 prize per scholar wallet, meaning if the scholar receive 3 teams, and for some reason he wins 3 groups, he will only receive one of the prizes (the biggest).

The participation and competition prize will be up until for the genesis tournament. After that we may change the prizes and conditions based on the feedback from our community.

The competition is definitely heating up, and we couldn’t be more excited to see you all getting on to the metaverse pitches to have fun and earn!

3. Official Partner

To be eligible the guild need to be an official partner of MetaSoccer. Meaning, we already announce our partnership in our social media or you are a guild created in our community and verify by our team.

We will also open new registrations for the genesis tournament. To be eligible the user needs to have at least 30 teams delegated from one wallet to be considerer as a guild.

All of our guilds will have a name, badge and an official verified label in our game.

4. Practical example

If you are a verify guild you will be able eligible for the participation and competition prize.

The meaning of the participation competition is to increase the amount of new users playing MetaSoccer. That's the reason why we add a cap of 3 teams per scholar.

Ex: Guhs FC has 100 teams of 11 players. I will be able to delegate to 33 users using the cap of 3 teams per users.

If the guild delegate 4 teams to a user we will only consider 3. Also, the scholar can have teams from different guilds, max of 3 per guild.

If a scholar wins one of the groups, we will have a special prize as well. But to incentivize the number of scholars playing in the tournament we will have a limit of 1 prize per user.

Ex: The user has 3 scholars, and he was able to win one semi-pro and one pro group. He will only get the extra prize in the pro group.
