The 6th NFT Youth Scout Drop is coming and there are a lot of questions regarding the type of tickets that are more advisable to get.

Well, we have all the answers and prepared a deep dive into the process of Scout improvement to help you make the best decision possible.

Before we get into it, we would like to explain that the numbers we indicate here are still being worked on and may change before the release of the scouting features — the idea therefore is to give you an overview of the process.

How does a Scout get improved?

As soon as Scouting starts, Scout improvement will be available, as part of the Youth Scouts gameplay, which will be available in March.

After every scouting there will be a chance that some knowledge of the scout improves (up to a maximum of 4 different knowledge areas).

The chances of knowledge improvement, as well as the amount of points earned are directly tied to the scouting level — there are 6 levels, based on the overall knowledge of the Scout.

The more relevant knowledge for the scout covering will have a higher probability to improve — for example if you have a Youth Scout whose role is Goalkeeper, it’s more likely that after a scouting his goalkeeping knowledge goes up.

Knowledge points earned after Scouting:

Normal Scout

• Scouting level 1 (overall knowledge 40–49) → 75% chances of winning 1 Point

• Scouting level 2 (overall knowledge 50–59) → 90% chances of winning 1 Point

• Scouting level 3 (overall knowledge 60–69) → 1 Point

• Scouting level 4 (overall knowledge 70–79) → 2 Points

• Scouting level 5 (overall knowledge 80–89) → 3 Points

• Scouting level 6 (overall knowledge 90–99) → 4 Points

Pioneer Scout

  • Scouting level 1 (overall knowledge 40–49) → 91 % chances of winning 1 Point
  • Scouting level 2 (overall knowledge 50–59) → 1 Point + 17 % chances of winning 1 extra Point
  • Scouting level 3 (overall knowledge 60–69) → 1 Point + 30 % chances of winning 1 extra Point
  • Scouting level 4 (overall knowledge 70–79) → 2 Point + 60 % chances of winning 1 extra Point
  • Scouting level 5 (overall knowledge 80–89) → 3 Point + 90 % chances of winning 1 extra Point
  • Scouting level 6 (overall knowledge 90–99) → 5 Point + 20 % chances of winning 1 extra Point

The earned points will be randomly assigned (one by one) according to this distribution:

• 50% added to Knowledge 1

• 30 % added to Knowledge 2

• 10 % added to Knowledge 3

• 10 % added to Knowledge 4

Knowledge 1, 2, 3 or 4 are assigned based on the Scout’s role, as follows:

Goalkeeper

1. Goalkeeping

2. Mental or Physical (the one with the highest value)

3. Defending, Mental or Physical (the one with the second highest value)

4. Defending, Mental or Physical (the one with the third highest value)

Defender or Midfielder with CDM specific role

1. Defending

2. Mental, Physical or Attacking (the one with the highest value)

3. Mental, Physical or Attacking (the one with the second highest value)

4. Mental, Physical or Attacking (the one with the third highest value)

Forward or Midfielder with CAM specific role

1. Attacking

2. Mental or Physical (the one with the highest value)

3. Defending, Mental or Physical (the one with the second highest value)

4. Defending, Mental or Physical (the one with the third highest value)

Midfielder (except the ones listed above)

1. Attacking or Defending (the one with the highest value)

2. Mental, Physical, Attacking or Defending (the one with the second highest value)

3. Mental, Physical, Attacking or Defending (the one with the third highest value)

4. Mental, Physical, Attacking or Defending (the one with the fourth highest value)

We will use a random tiebreaker for knowledge skills with the same values.

Motivational leader: Doesn’t affect this system but will be important in the upcoming one (is in the white paper)

Extra Motivation

  • Scouting level 1 (overall knowledge 40–49) → 1point + 5 % chances of winning 1 Point
  • Scouting level 2 (overall knowledge 50–59) → 1 Point + 35% chances of winning 1 extra Point
  • Scouting level 3 (overall knowledge 60–69) → 1 Point + 50 % chances of winning 1 extra Point
  • Scouting level 4 (overall knowledge 70–79) → 3 Point
  • Scouting level 5 (overall knowledge 80–89) → 4 Point + 50 % chances of winning 1 extra Point
  • Scouting level 6 (overall knowledge 90–99) → 6 Point

The number of scoutings required to go up a level will depend highly on the starting overall of the Scout — while a Scout with overall 40 may require up to 30 scoutings to reach an overall of 50 (level 2), a Scout with overall 49 will require only around 4.

Again, we want to emphasize that this are provisional values that are subject to change in the near future. We are currently checking numbers following a simulation process, and we’ll share them with you once they are totally defined.

Nevertheless, bear in mind that the Scout improvement process described here is a temporary solution, as we are developing other ways to improve Scouts in the future, that will give owners more freedom and autonomy on choosing what knowledge to improve and on how to shape and upgrade each of their scouts. We’ll let you know everything about the changes in Scout improvement once the new method is finalized.

How does a Scout find Players?

To learn how Scouts find Players and how good the Players can be depending on your Scout’s knowledge, please check the Scouting Gameplay on our whitepaper.

So, what should I buy?

All choices are good. All Scouts can be improved, but the lower the initial knowledge the longer it will take you to get them to the highest level.

If you can buy Bronze, Silver or Gold tickets, your Scouts will find better players right from the start. Bronze and Silver scouts will be able to improve at a nice pace, and while high knowledge Scouts will find the gems (Players with top potential), lower knowledge Scouts tend to find higher quantities of players.

Starter Scouts are the best option if you cannot invest much on the game. With them you can have your team line up soon, play matches and earn tokens, but do not expect to have a very competitive team on the beginning.

The prices of the drops are our reference in terms of design and balancing, so we expect the actual resell value of the Starter/Bronze/Silver/Gold tickets to be rather consistent with the drop prices.

We hope you may some tickets in tomorrow’s drop, and may great Scouts come to play with the redeems!
